Fresh off her stellar performance leading the Adamson Lady Baby Falcons to a historic UAAP Season 86 girls volleyball championship, Most Valuable Player Shaina Nitura has announced her commitment to continue her volleyball journey with the Adamson Lady Falcons at the collegiate level.
In a heartfelt video message posted by the school, Nitura expressed her gratitude to the Akari and Adamson community for their unwavering support throughout their championship campaign. She then made the exciting announcement of her commitment to Adamson University and Akari Sports, affirming her decision to stay and play for the Lady Falcons in the collegiate ranks.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Akari and Adamson community for supporting our Season 86 champions title,” Nitura said in her message. “And for my next journey, I am happy to say that I will commit to Adamson and to Akari. And again, thank you for supporting our team, Adamson volleyball girls,” she added.
Nitura’s commitment to Adamson comes on the heels of her outstanding performance in UAAP Season 86, where she played a pivotal role in leading the Lady Baby Falcons to their first-ever UAAP High School title. The team achieved an impressive 14-game sweep en route to the championship, culminating in a dominant showing against National University-Nazareth School in the best-of-three finals series.
Nitura’s exceptional contributions did not go unnoticed, as she was not only named the season’s Most Valuable Player but also earned the distinction of Finals MVP for her outstanding performances when it mattered most on the court.
