McLaren Junior Driver Bianca Bustamante Set to Race Winter Series with GRS Team

McLaren junior driver Bianca Bustamante is gearing up for an action-packed winter series as she joins the GRS Team to compete in the Formula Winter Series, set to kick off at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain this weekend.

Bustamante, 19, took to Instagram to express her excitement about the upcoming races, stating, “We’ve been working hard in the winter break to prepare for the upcoming F1 Academy season and I’m excited to be back on track for 3 out of 4 rounds in Spain.”

In addition to her participation in the winter series, Bustamante is diligently preparing for her second season in the F1 Academy. Recently, McLaren unveiled her car and livery for the 2024 season, where she will represent ART Grand Prix.

The male team includes Rogen Ladon, aged 30 (51kg category), Carlo Paalam, 25 (57kg), Mark Ashley Fajardo, 19 (63.5kg), Ronald Chavez Jr., 24 (71kg), and John Marvin, 31 (92kg). Representing the women are Aira Villegas, 28 (50kg), Claudine Veloso, 24 (54kg), Nesthy Petecio, 31 (57kg), Riza Pasuit, 31 (60kg), and Hergie Bacyadan, 29 (75kg). According to Manalo, this ten-member team completed a training session in Australia from January 14-27. They are scheduled to compete in the Boxam Tournament in Alicante, Spain, from January 29 to February 4.
