Farm Fresh Foxies fans will have to wait a bit longer to see Jolina dela Cruz make her highly anticipated debut on the volleyball court. During the press launch of the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference in Mandaluyong City, Farm Fresh team manager Kiara Cruz delivered the unfortunate news to reporters that their prized recruit will be sidelined for the upcoming tournament.
“I’m really setting it straight — Jolina won’t be able to play for now this conference. Of course, our priority is her health,” Cruz stated, emphasizing the team’s commitment to dela Cruz’s well-being.
Dela Cruz sustained a knee injury during her time with the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, resulting from a failed dig attempt in their November 30 match against the PLDT High Speed Hitters. The injury necessitated medical intervention, ultimately leading to dela Cruz undergoing knee surgery last month.
Providing further insight into dela Cruz’s recovery timeline, Cruz expressed optimism that the talented player could potentially return to action by the third conference of the year. However, the priority remains on ensuring dela Cruz’s full recovery and avoiding any undue risks to her health and well-being.
Dela Cruz herself took to Instagram to update her followers on her rehabilitation journey, revealing that she underwent knee surgery and is currently in the process of recovery. While the setback is undoubtedly disappointing for both dela Cruz and Farm Fresh supporters, the focus remains on her long-term health and return to peak performance on the volleyball court.
