Figure skater Cathryn Limketkai wins silver in the 2024 Reykjavik International Games

Cathryn Limketkai won second place in the annual Reykjavik International Games while representing the Philippines in Iceland.

Limketkai won second place in the free skate segment while clinching the number one spot two days ago in the Junior Women Short Program with a score of 51.14, beating six of her competitors: 

  • Jenni Hirvonen (Finland)
  • Cecilia Donohue (Argentina)
  • Lena Rut Asgeirsdottir (Iceland)
  • Tarren Mayer (Great Britain)
  • Dharma Elisabet Tomasdottir (Iceland)
  • Victoria Mogelgaard (Denmark) 

With a total score of 124.16, Cathryn Limketkai managed to win the second place on the said event, 2.49 points shy of the first placer Jenni Hirvonen representing Finland.

The 2024 Reykjavik International Games is an annual multi-sport event that took place January 25–28, 2024, in Reykjavík, Iceland, at the Laugardalur Ice Arena. The event features the singles disciplines (Women and Men) for figure skating in the Novice, Junior, and Senior categories and will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the Special Regulations and Technical Rules for Single and Pair Skating, and the relevant ISU Communications.
