The 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference opened with a bang as the Choco Mucho Flying Titans and the PLDT High Speed Hitters emerged victorious in their campaign openers at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
In the first match of the day, the Choco Mucho Flying Titans showcased their dominance as they swept past the Nxled Chameleons in three straight sets, 25-12, 25-22, 25-18. Sisi Rondina led the charge for the Flying Titans with an impressive 17-point performance, supported by Kat Tolentino who contributed 12 points, and Cherry Rose Nunag who added 10 points to seal the win for Choco Mucho.
Meanwhile, the PLDT High Speed Hitters displayed their prowess on the court as they secured a victory against their opponents. Led by Savannah Davison with 19 points and Jules Samonte with 15 points, the High Speed Hitters showcased their offensive firepower to claim the win.
With both teams starting their campaign on a positive note, they aim to carry the momentum forward as they face tougher challenges in the upcoming matches of the tournament.
The action-packed PVL All-Filipino Conference will continue on Saturday with an exciting triple-header. The day will kick off with Chery Tiggo going head-to-head against Strong Group Athletics, followed by a showdown between Cignal and Akari. The match day will culminate with a highly anticipated clash between Creamline and Farm Fresh, promising volleyball fans another thrilling day of intense competition.
