The power forward, a product of Far Eastern University, officially inked a one-year deal with the TNT franchise on Monday, marking the beginning of his stint with the flagship team of the MVP group in the upcoming PBA Philippine Cup. Ebona, accompanied by his representative Danny Espiritu, finalized the contract signing in the presence of TNT team manager Jojo Lastimosa.
TNT’s acquisition of Ebona as a free agent adds depth to their roster, a move the team considers fortunate. The 27-year-old, originally drafted fourth overall in the 2019 PBA Draft, became available after his previous contract with Converge expired at the close of 2023.
Having previously played for Alaska, Blackwater, and Converge, Ebona brings versatility and experience to the TNT lineup. His arrival is timely, especially with the team facing challenges in their frontcourt due to injuries to key big men Poy Erram and Justin Chua.
